Michael Feghali reviews “Mormarch EP” by Onur Ozer on All Inn Records

Hello HDNSM family!

All In Records long-awaited release is finally out and the fiery return of underground Turkish minimal monster Onur Ozer with a 2-track vinyl EP called ‘Mormarch’ did not dissapoint.

I must say we have definitely missed his cool trippy sounds and are overjoyed by his new connection to the All Inn family.

Personally I’m so hyped to see him mix next weekend at the Undersound 1st birthday and also to check out Dukes Club in Aldgate – which I’ve already heard is pretty damn mental! What a sweet combination!

So now to the actual music…Since its been a while that Onur has released anything I think he has had a whole lot of new feelings and sounds to explore with  his music.

The A-side ‘Mormarch’ has a real raw minimal approach with a weird vocal – in Turkish I assume – what else …. and lots of trippy echoes. Its pretty dark.. and I like that its quite experimental with swishes and clatters and thuds coming from everywhere J The type of track that would turn the crowd into an frenzy, haha, too much is happening!

The B-side offers more of a danceable and slightly jazzy direction.

Fast and Jumpy!  Its minimal attitude would fit perfectly in an upbeat club atmosphere where you can dance and before you know it its Monday morning – aaah ,, the real Berlin way!!

Maybe Red would agree that it has a bit of a Golden Gate feel?

Keep an eye on All Inn Records as well – they just never seem to disappoint!
