BPitch Control is a label in the truest sense of the word: a seal of quality. The BPC imprint is reserved for surprise parcels packed with music, style and identity. It’s the banner for a global network of friendships, creative relationships and – let’s not forget – parties. In short, BPitch Control is a strong brand for strong personalities. A further sign of quality is emblazoned on the rear side of the label: Made in Berlin. BPitch Control is inextricably linked with the German capital and the energy released in the powerful reactions of its recent history. In 1999 Ellen Allien created an island of creativity in the centre of the city and its turbulent techno movement. This was a logical step after a series of parties, and its main initial purpose was to offer a space to fellow Berlin artists. This is where Paul Kalkbrenner, TokTok, Sascha Funke, Modeselektor and of course the label founder herself developed their unique sounds, and in some cases grew into global superstars. In the years that followed Berlin became a global magnet for art and club culture. This had a two‐way effect: the label’s artists became known well beyond the city limits, and the roster absorbed more international talent. Since the mid 2000s BPitch Control has been regarded as one of the city’s most important emblems, maintaining global friendships and relationships, organising regular showcases on several continents.

Camea was born and raised in the Seattle music scene as a pianist and lover of all genres of music. In her youth she studied both classical and jazz theory as well as dance, and spent a lot of time playing in bands. Later in her teens she fell into the Seattle grunge and rock scenes, but her lifestyle quickly changed when she discovered electronic music and bought turntables in 1999. After spending a few years perusing local record stores, Camea began to collect labels like Perlon, Playhouse and Minus. This eventually led her to the artistically thriving city of Brooklyn, NY, where she moved in 2002, immediately immersing herself in the city’s music scene. Brooklyn’s intense artistic environment became a magical time for her, as this is where she discovered an abundance of new music and met Ambivalent, Alexi Delano, Tim Xavier, and Tony Rohr and spawned Clink Recordings, launching her career as an International DJ by 2005. Soon after her tour schedule became worldwide, and two years later she relocated to Berlin where she resides today. DJing has stayed the forefront of Camea’s passion but she has also moved her interests into the studio. She released her first solo EP in 2006 and has achieved a discography of original work and/or remixes featured on labels like Bpitch Control, Minus, Clink, Soma, and Get Physical. In 2011 she became the first female producer to ever put music on Richie Hawtin’s Plus 8 label, which featured her remix on Ambivalent’s “Jackson” EP. During this time she also released her first compilation on her imprint titled, Clinkology. Soon after in 2012 arrived her first solo release on Bpitch Control. As a DJ, Camea’s house/techno hybrid sound has secured her a regular tour schedule around the world. She is a passionate performer and her sound is best described as Seattle cool meets Brooklyn edge meets Berlin chic, and she blends her more traditional musician roots with modern melodic concepts and groovy percussion. Her tracks have topped sales and DJ charts on many occasions, and she has been center stage at many of the world’s hottest clubs and festivals. Since her relocation to Berlin in 2007 Camea has become one of the handful of women from America to make it to the International stage for her genre.

Georgina Fernandez, a.k.a. Baby G, is a Berlin‐based DJ and electronic producer who’s been spreading her disco‐electronica love around the globe since the mid‐nineties — from Miami and New York to Brazil, Thailand and all over Europe. She has been a firm fixture and exciting DJ talent at many underground dance clubs around the world since the mid‐late 90’s be it at D‐edge, Fabric, Panorama Bar or Watergate. In the mid nineties, when the explosion of the club scene was happening in Spain and particularly in Barcelona, she was already a regular Dj spinning Deep House and Garage in some of the best clubs and festivals in the area, Moog, Otto Zutz, La Boite, Doctor Music Festival, BAM. By the end of the nineties she created her own Tribal Vibes parties, and began experimenting with breaks, drum and bass, disco beats and diffusing quality electronic music all over Europe. In summer 2001, Baby G was chosen from 15,000 aspiring contenders to travel to New York on a scholarship, to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA), after that her DJing expanded all over the world… In 2004 she moved to London, partnering with Reverso 68’s Pete Herbert in the studio to add to a list of original Nu Disco pioneers as recording outfit ‘L.S.B.’, releases followed on Eskimo,Rekids, Skylax and the duo’s own ‘Superdiscoteca’ label. Her music has had regular support by such luminaries as DJ Harvey, Greg Wilson, Erol Alkan, Faze Action, The Glimmers, Luciano, Optimo & Rub N Tug amongst many others. In 2008 Baby G relocated to the current infamous worldwide rave capital Berlin where she continues to regularly play at the best underground parties while also developing her more recent electronic music project ‘Dance Disorder’, with Robin Craaford, on Berlin finest’s BPitch Control Records, collaborating with artists like Massimiliano Pagliara, Discodromo, Snuff Crew or Murphy Jaxx and receiving full support from Djs like Damian Lazarus, Radio Slave, Neville Watson, Serge, Jerome Sydenham and Ellen Allien. As a true music fan who has spun in the hottest clubs in the world, alongside some of the most talented DJs on the planet, Baby G won’t be hanging up her headphones anytime soon. “I can’t imagine myself doing anything outside music. It’s who I am.” Exciting times ahead for this very talented young lady!
